Just HURRY UP and get them done! You can mention your sincere regret for being so late or you can just say thank you but you need to get them out ASAP.

Start writing and mailing them TODAY! Simply say that you are sorry you are so late in getting the thank you card off, but you sincerely wanted to thank them for ____ as it has been (useful, beautiful, lovely, etc.).

Just thank them normally.
"Mr and Mrs Invitee, thank you so much for attending our lovely wedding. Thank you for the *gift*, it has been very useful/is very nice/etc"
If you've used it, state how much you like it. If it is a decoration, mention how well it does in the room you put it in.
No need to mention the lateness unless you want to.

just say that you have been so caught up with the married life that you have only just come down from cloud nine and can honestly thank everyone for making the start of your new life so wonderful!!!
Its easy, you not the only person who has done this!

As long that you send them out you could include a small photo of he wedding for a special touch ,no apologies are necessary better late then never!
