An American Hellcat. Probably the best overall combat aircraft of WW2. For its time it had everything a fighter needed. Good flying characteristics. good armor protection, and of course damn good pilots. If I am not mistaken, this plane was responsible for destroying more aircraft in the Pacific then any other aircraft, including my favorite WW2 aircraft, the Corsair/F4U.

Amercian Hellcat, if given between the planes you gave otherwise I would say P-38, P-51 or even a B-24.

I always wanted to fly B-29s. But since this is about fighters, I'll pick the hellcat.
