Chocolate, onions, grapes - this can affect their blood pressure. No bones either - it can get stuck in their throats and the bones can splinter. Just stick with gool ole dog food!

Onions. Avocodos. Grapes. Dark chocolate. Table scraps. Everyone I know who feeds their dogs table scraps has an overweight dog and overweight isn't any healthier for dogs than people. Some dogs don't do well with rawhide treats, either. For example our little pomjuajua (pomeranian/chijuajua mix) throws them right back up. And OF COURSE never give a dog chicken bones b/c they splinter!

Chocolate is poison to dogs. My dog loves carrots, celery, broccoli and as a special treat unsalted pretzels, along with the recommended servings of dog food. Feed your dog healthy food. Raw vegetables are crunchy, cool treats, Don't feed him junk food or table scraps.

Well personally, I'm against supermarket foods like Pedigree Chum, Winalot, Bakers and Butchers. While I am aware dogs can do fine on these brands, if a dog is prone to being overweight, these foods are not good. They're not high quality. As far as I'm concerned, Labradors and Cavaliers should never be fed these brands because they just DO get fat on them - I run weight clinics and I'm tired of seeing it!

Don't ever ever in a million years give your dogs raisins, grapes, chocolate, house plants, cactus juice, wine, beer, onions, avocados, spinach, or anything related to grapes or chocolate unless you want them to die. Also, Anti Freeze wouldn't be good either. And don't give them bones unless their specially made for your type of dog. It could split and splinter your dogs throat.

Dog foods with grains like corn, wheat, sorghum, rice, barley, etc.

Go with a grain free dog food if you have to feed canned/wet or kibble.

Good luck.
