How can I disenable my yahoo account...I do not want to use it anymore?

I do not want to use one of my yahoo accounts any more so i want to disenable it Now...I just can't forget about it because i will be tempted to check my mail and there is someone trying to get off and avoid...There only way of contacting me is through my email...I do not want to deal with him anymore..

How do I dienable it so that when he sends me mail..he gets a failed delivery message in his mail..

Hi there, i hope you are having a good day.

Apparently you just can delete that account, but not disenable it, so the best thing you can do is to block his address signing on your mail account and going here.

There you can add the emails of the users you want to block.

If you think that is not enough you can always delete your account, but it will lead to lose all the data it has in so think about it before doing this.

You need to sign into your account first going to:
http://login.yahoo.com

and then you need to go to the deletion page which is this one:

https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user

You can always block this person you dont want to receive mail from, just think about it well, i think is a good solution.

I also thought on changing the password for a random set of characters on the first textbox, then, copying and pasting this set of characters on the confirm my password textbox, before saving it, if you feel the need of getting into the account again in the future, you just retrieve the password ussing the forgot my password feature, since you wanna keep it, and apparently it can de disenabled.

i dont know about disableing it, but if you leave your account alone for 6 months, it wil go away...or you could just change your password to random letters that dont make any sense so you cant log on...
