I remember watching Lady and the Tramp as a kid and now that I'm older, I want to get a dog.. preferably the dog that "worked" for scotland yard. however, I cant remember what breed it is.

I want to say Great Dane, but I'm not sure. Anyone know

Suppose to be a bloodhound. Definitely not a Great Dane, doesn't even remotely resemble. Whoever said a beagle is nuts.

Check out these comparisons!:

The Scotland Yard dog was Bloodhound. Do your homework if you want one -- they are not easy to live with and quite likely very expensive. You might be happier with a Black & Tan Coonhound -- much like the Bloodhounds -- less skin and better personalities!

Good luck

Definately a Bloodhound but I'll say again do your homework on this breed before buying one and make sure you find a good breeder with health guarantees

Blood hound. Great Danes are much larger in size and not the same length in ears or color. It is definatley a blood hound.

That was a Bloodhound. They are also a large breed like a Great Dane, wonderful dogs! Hope you find your dream dog;^)

I think it was a blood hound - and do your research before getting one of them! They are great, but do have some very specific requirements to keep them happy dogs

That would probably be the Bloodhound. His partner was a Scottie.

It was a bloodhound, if you are talking about the one that the little Scottish Terrier is always bossing around.
