I got a cake mix that I am making for a party tonight and I really need to know this asap!

yes, you can use melted butter. measure about tablespoon over the amount you need, melt it in the microwave for 20 or so seconds, and measure it again once its melted. butter has lots of air in it, so you use more. ~but so you know~ yes, butter tastes better, but oil keeps a cake much more moist and healthier. either one is ok though. good luck.

Yes you can, melt the butter and measure it like you would oil.
You will probably want to leave the salt out of the recipe (or reduce it) unless you have unsalted butter available.

Yes you can it works best melted that way you get the same measurement as the oil, It makes it taste more rich and home made

I think so. If you have applesauce you can use that instead of oil and it makes the cake really moist as well. I've also heard of using mayo...you can't taste it.. good luck
