Most towns have at least one bridal salon where you can buy wedding gowns. There are also many resources on the internet. Google the phrase 'Wedding Gown' and I guarantee you'll find tens of thousands of hits...almost half of which will be sources of actual wedding gowns.
It's also possible to go to a dressmaker and have one custom made for you.
It's even possible to go to a thrift store and find one there.
Root around. Look in the Yellow Pages. Ask friends and family members where they got their wedding gowns.
Most of all, have fun!

Depends- I got mine on EBAY for $40. It was not used for a wedding, but it was a floor sample in a bridal shop so it was clean and unworn. I just need to get it pressed and its ready to go! I know someone who did the same thing- brand new dress from a store going out of business. She looked fabulous!

depends on where you live. can you be a little bit more specific?
there usually are a bunch of wedding boutique shops.
what may help you out a lot more is to -
find the type of dress you like or possibly the dress you think you want. Then go to the designer's website and find a location near you that sells the dress. It is very likely whichever shop you go to will have a bunch of different dresses for you to try on.
best of luck.

JC Pennys has some nice ones...check the phonebook in the yellow pages.....im sure there are a few places near you i would be weary with online buying of wedding dresses what if you get it and dont like how the detail is or the fit....you could alawya have it altered but still too risky i think

generally I say... in case you like the gown, and it rather is properly made, has high quality fabric, compliments your determine and suits the putting to your wedding ceremony then purchase it. First comprehend that David's Bridal isn't seen to have severe end wedding ceremony clothing. because their robes are so many times occurring with maximum brides and heavily marketed...there is an hazard that some attending your wedding ceremony would have seen your gown on yet another bride. I certainly have had brides i became into changing their robes for, locate out later that a chum or kin member offered the comparable Davids Bridal gown type for their weddings. In each and each case they have been getting married some months apart from one yet another with the various comparable travelers attending. even though it became into too previous because of alter clothing so the 2d bride regarded as though she became into doing a repeat of the 1st. it is how many times occurring their clothing are. because you under pressure it rather is a "severe end wedding ceremony,"that's good to to purchase a gown that may not effortlessly known by potential of your travelers as one they see each and all the time. you do not could spend plenty on a severe end wedding ceremony gown. you may save extensively on them in various techniques. inspect the hyperlink.

check on The Knot (www.theknot.com) or the website of all the bridal mags (www.brides.com) they both have links for dresses and when you click on them for more detail it will show you the designer and their authorized retailers. Or you can go to the yahoo yellow pages and search for bridal boutiques. You need to check out more than just one.. to know if you are getting the best deal for your money and time.

Small local bridal shops. Look in your local phone book. I went to david's bridal though because their prices are better than anywhere else.
Or buy from acompany online.

Search wedding dresses in a search engine, or look on E-bay. I got mine on E-bay for 20 dollars from China, and they specally made it for me, but I paid 80 dollars in shipping. It was a very good experience. Before I did that though I honestly put wedding dresses in a search engine, and found some beautiful ones. Good luck, and remember be picky.... Btu not too picky! :)

Look in your local phonebook under bridal...if you go to a private shop, you'll probably get better service and more unique dresses to choose from than in you went to those big chain stores.
