That depends on what you mean by redneck. A lot of people would probably consider me a redneck, and I'm an atheist, so I guess the answer could be yes.

I doubt the classic version of a redneck is an atheist, too busy drinking, beating their wives, lynching blacks and reporting each sunday about how they are humans and they want to change and get forgiveness.
I lived in the south for many years and there are quite a few people who live in the sticks and are good people. Their necks are red from being outside working.

Oh yeah. I grew up in the country and while it seems that a lot of times the really scary gun toting, truck driving, confederate flag waving rednecks are Christians, there's a fair share of atheists. They're still scary, but a degree less ridiculous/hypocritical.

I live in the South and down here I have never met a redneck that was atheist.. They are all God fearing, God loving good ole' boys and girls that believe in God and country.

Redneck: A person with a glorious lack of sophistication.

I think we are all rednecks at least once in our lives.

Not me.

But you know what? A lot of what Crazy Horse said is pure common courtesy and common sense (except for the superlative creator items). Don't know why so many slagged him/her so badly. Maybe it was the artificial redneck knee-jerk disrespect......morality and courtesy is NOT a Christian thing - it's a Human thing.

Yeah... I live with one. Josh likes his pro wrestling and AC DC... he's a good guy but he's definitely a redneck.
