Have you tried wetting your hair and then sleeping with it in braids? I do that all the time and it ends up really curly and lasts for about 3-5 days.

You'll need: wide tooth comb, light mousse or gel, a medim sticky pomade, like Fudge, Sabastian Mud, or Manipulator by TIGI.
while hair is wet use a wide tooth comb and comb it straight down. make sure you have a little mousse or a lite gel combed through your hair. While the hair is wet and combed straight down, gently grab a lock of hair about a dime or nickle size and twist it gently in either direction, continue this all the way around the head, working in small sections underneath and on top. You can start by twisting the hair (while moist) all in the same direction starting on each side going forward or backwards towards meeting in the back. Get some pomade in your hands after you have twisted all your hair, rub the pomade in your hands and scruntch the ends at the bottom to seal them.
let it dry naturally is best. If you have thicker hair you can take bigger sections. Your hair should dry into long ringlettes. this should also keep your hair from frizzing, make sure you don't touch it or mess with it while it's drying, or it will get frzzy.

When you get out of the shower, flip your hair upside down and towel-dry it by scrunching up your hair. that'll help the curls, then maybe get a light mouse or curling gel to put in your hairto keep the curls tight during the day.

Try using Garnier Fructis Pure Fix Gel. It makes the curl much deeper and it's not that expensive.

Scrunch it with ant hair product that you like my daughter uses hairspray, but they do have product that helps generate curls. Look at any store at there hair products and pick one, just try one you think you might like. I think it's Loreal that has one called "Springin Curlz" which is what you want to do I think. Just look out for these type products and hairspray on op can't hurt.
