Pastor Billy says: what an excellent question, you basically ask what logically leads us to the natural end of dispensationalist theology Christian irresponsibility.
When taken to it's logical end this type of doctrine which by the way has a history of less than 200 years leads to lack of social responsibility by the people who are for the most part preaching we should be caretakers of God's creation.
Without going into great detail as I've answered this numerous types and received best answer before... Rapture is a crock of ----.

We absolutely should care about the environment. Even if the world ends tomorrow, we still have a responsibility to be good stewards of our natural environment. We have a terrible track record so far, but I have hopes for the future. Quite frankly, I think this rapture business is a load of malarkey, and I'm not about to hold my breath waiting for it. Even for Christians, we "know not the day nor the hour" of Christ's coming, and I don't view Kirk Cameron as any more in the know than the rest of us mere mortals.

You know, I blame jesus for lending any sort of credibility to Kirk Cameron. Kirk Cameron should be bagging my groceries.

There will be no rapture, it was made up barely 200 years ago by some girl and her minister, its just another money maker for the protestant churches.

I think we should still care about God's world how ever long we have left. Jesus could return tomorrow or in 10,000 years do you want you grandchildren or great grandchildren to be able to breath if the live.

Since Kirk Cameron has become a nutjob who openly and repeatedly makes a fool of himself (banana as the atheist's nightmare? Please...) should we care what he says?
