Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus has already come (he's come into the beginning of his rulership) a second time (the same way that he left which was invisibly, but only those following him could tell). Luke 17:26-30 When the Son of Man comes, things will be just as they were when Noah lived. People were eating, drinking, and getting married right up to the day when Noah went into the big boat. Then the flood came and drowned everyone on earth. When Lot lived, people were also eating and drinking. They were buying, selling, planting, and building. But on the very day Lot left Sodom, fiery flames poured down from the sky and killed everyone. The same will happen on the day when the Son of Man appears. According to bible prophesy and Jesus' warnings, the presence of the son of man (Jesus), would go unnoticed by most people (apart from those paying attention to the signs which "appear" invisible to most people (Matthew 24:7-9; Luke 21:10-12) Jehovah's Witnesses believe that these are the last days where Jesus presence is, culminating to a grand climax.

Crutches are sometimes a good thing. They keep some people from falling down.
As for the money making aspect... the Catholic Church is THE richest entity on the entire planet. What do you think?

Money was one of the things that led up to the Reformation.

Faith - however, is another matter. There is a huge difference between religion and faith (or salvation) . Huge.

However, for some people, the dogma and liturgy and ritual that accompanies Religious ceremonies - (from simple mass or Sunday service - to the huge celebrations of feasts) - that brings them comfort, keeps them calm and able to practice their FAITH. some people need strict rules, I guess.

but again - there is a huge difference between Religion and Salvation (Faith). Don't get the two confused.

A crutch is something that holds you up and helps you stand when you can not stand on your own. It represents the power to overcome difficulties. Is that a bad thing?

Religion is not a crutch! Yes sadly there are Churches that have become a money making business! When you have come to faith you come as you are.

It's all business, baby! God and religion were invented to answer questions that don't have answers and to control the masses, and if you can make a buck at it, why not.

There are those who see goodness working through the church of God and they have made themselves to be a mockery, a fake and it is up to you and I to seek out the real church of God.
