You would have to have two sinks and two preparation areas, also the vehicle that you use to caryy the food would have to meet hygene standards. It is a good idea and I would try it out on family and close friends first. One pot meals are good but you can be limited by the choice of meals you can offer. Also try baking cakes and puddings.Get on a college course for Hygene Standards just takes one day and you get a certificate. Good Luck

Well, although you gave some of the information, I would have to know more details before really answering you completely.
Like, what you believe is a good value for the money, I may or may not. Also, is this a call ahead kind of thing, or are you talking about a service that you'd sign up for lets say 3 meals a week or something.
Also, is it your choice of what I'm eating or mine? For example, would you be offering a variety every night, or saying Monday is Speghetti, Tuesday is ...., etc etc
I'd also have to know the sanitation standard. I would not just openly eat someone's cooking without knowing a state inspector has checked their cooking enviroment out and regularly visits.
To me, these things are very important details that I would have to know before I could tell you that I'd be interested or not.
I could tell you if it was more of a "call your order in and have it delivered like Pizza" then I may would be interested. That would give me more flexibility than knowing that I would have to be home on Tuesday by 6 b/c I have a food delivery.
Get my drift?
Good luck on your search :)

It's a great idea JooJoo, Meals on Wheels has been running for years successfully. However that service only caters to the ill/infirm. I'm sure there is a market for your idea. Why not have some leaflets printed (approx £50 - 5000) and drop them in your local area,a low cost marketing test. If you get a good response, you'll know it's worth setting up the Business. There are plenty of Working parents out there who hate the idea of cooking after a day at the office.
Hope it works out for you....Good luck

Only problem there is everyone wants the meal at say 7.30 while watching tv fave program so how can u deliver 300 meals all at the same time in different areas? i mean if some are waiting until 8.30 they may go off the idea.

No, I would not use it.
You would find it hard to compete with supermarkets, who sell ready meals for a low price. Many supermarkets are also open 24 hours, as well.
Besides, if I want a quick meal, I'll just chuck some pasta or rice in a pan, and fry some meat and veg.

Most supermarkets sell meals that can be microwaved and are the same as you are offering. It just shows how poor the culinary skills are of the majority of young people in this country are if that's the best you can come up with.Bangers and mash hardly gourmet food but suppose that someone might buy it.

It's very popular here in the US, especially from companies or chefs that offer low-calorie selections with accurate nutritional information.
Some places will even deliver a week's meals, three meals a day.

It's a good idea. Sometimes it's so tiring cooking meals from scratch so home cooked meals coming to your home sounds cool.

You could probably do very well at a home delivery with those kind of ideas. Advertise in place where busy moms/dads work that usually wouldn't cook during the week.
Good luck to you
