I have a Blue Dog by George Rodrigue, a picture of cranes by some 18th century Japanese dude, and a Japanese water color by some unknown artist (It's signed, but I can't read Japanese) and then in my bedroom I have a large print of The Calmady Sisters by Sir Thomas Lawrence. I know that's a weird combination, but they're just pictures I love. I also have a poster by Ira Yeager from the 2004 Napa Wine Festival that I need to have framed for my kitchen of this chef holding a fish. I love all of his stuff. What is most precious to me, however, is a graceful sketch of a hand in repose that my daughter did in high school art class--she's quite an artist and is majoring in graphic design now.

Two local artists, one is an abstract fish thing with ceramic fish and copper coils - it's really lovely, though it sounds odd, another is the window in the house of the artist where we used to play in a swing chair, a third is a bird's nest with mother and babies. I also have two lovely gothic local slate mirrors, a long black wood panel with painted flowers given to me by a friend many years ago in a different life, and some framed photos of the kids - that's in the room I'm in. There are sundry other items in other rooms, but those are my favourites!

I have Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" which was a wedding present from my best friend, so is very special to me. A colourful painting we bought in Dominican Republic on a fantastic holiday and finally a very large canvas of the Sri Lankan sunset. I took the picture myself from the balcony of our hotel on Christmas Day last year and we had it blown up into a huge canvas, the colour is amazing all oranges, yellows and reds. So I only have three paintings on my wall but they're all vey special to me.

I like to collect landscape paintings of Monterey, Carmel, etc. I like California impressionism. I also have some of my own landscape paintings. You can get some nice paintings on ebay for a good price if you keep looking, and don't care if it's a listed artist.

Mostly mine and my husbands...paintings and enlarged photos.

I painted the cats, he painted a bouquet of flowers and some landscapes. Photos come from our travels...Dragon from Chinese New Year Parade, Religious Sculpture, etc...

We do have a picture called sideways face that I purchased from a street artist. It is...well...a sideeways face done in red on an orange background. We also have famous musicians done by M. Schwab.

I have two watercolours by Jack Ray.

They are remarkably peaceful pictures. Both are landscapes with just the right balance between the trees and the water.

They never fail to reduce my stress levels.
