to the days when gay meant happy ?

I honestly feel that when God created man and took his rib to create woman that it meant for A woman and Man to be one.. I have nothing against gays or lesbians if that's their thing then fine. But, what about the first chapter of the bible where it plainly states a man and woman to be one not Adam and Adam..

Unfortunately, sister....Those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus (Yeshua) have not obtained the indwelling Holy Spirit. And the bible makes it clear that they cannot even discern the spiritual matters of the Word of GOD without first BELIEVING (thus receiving the Holy Spirit)/ God will not abide where HE is not welcome; nor will HE abide where sin is loved more than Him.
Sadly so; alot of these homosexuals actually believe that "they have an 'understanding' with God".....and they always respond the same: "The bottom line is that GOD.,..is supposed to be a GOD of LOVE"...thus excusing the sin He so readily has made CLEAR from the beginning--IS AN ABOMINATION in His sight. I just pray, bc' that is all I can do. The debate would go on eternally'; bc' they simply cannot understand when they have not the indwelling Holy Spirit. They think in the natural. We think in the Almighty (the spiritual); they think this way, (AS DOES ANY UNBELIEVER) because the Holy Spirit is simply not there;;; to ILLUMINATE the Word.
All we can do is pray; and be studied and ready (2Tim.2:15) TO GIVE the answers when they do ask.
In Yeshua, the <><7><>

I am gay and happy...

Why do you worry so about homosexuality. What two consenting adults do should really be none of your concern. If they are good citizens, pay their taxes, etc...you really shouldn't worry.

Remember, while the Bible was inspired by God, IITimothy 3:16, it was written by humans, who brought into their writings their own ideas, knowledge/education, customs and prejudices.

Yours is not to play God, and pretend to know all meanings of scripture. Yours is just to be a good person, be a witness by living your life, the way you feel fit. Then, love others and let them live their lives.

Remember the Levitical codes...just a few books over from Genesis...states that a woman shouldn't enter the church during her menstrual period. That people shouldn't wear a cloth made of more than one fiber, etc..

Even the new testament, the Apostle Paul talks about the subjective role of women...not speaking in church etc... Do you believe these verses should be interpreted literally? Why then, do you choose to interpret the verses literally that deal with homosexuality.

Remember the word homosexual wasn't even in our vernacular until 1865. Homosexuality of the Bible was basically only known as temple prostitutes...a lot different from committed gay couples of today.

There are enough synonyms for happy that we needn't get overly distraught about one word changing meaning.

I personally think it's a sin in this day and age to so believe in an ancient creation myth dreamed up thousands of years ago that one would use it as an excuse to discriminate against one's fellow human beings who happen to be attracted to members of their own gender.

This question always invokes the worst of people. Me I wish that the word gay meant you were happy. But that is not the case. It's amazing how someone can answer about tolerance and love, and within five words switch to I F****** hate ignorant people.

If you have nothing against gays and lesbians if that's their thing, then why do you feel the need to post a comment making your opposition to it clear? It seems to me that you do kind of have something against gays and lesbians.

so what, and later god made more men and women.
didn't god make lilith first as one story goes, so maybe he made eve for her?Just as good an argument as yours...
If you don't mind gays and say they are fine you shouldn't be worried what it says in one particular religion. E.g. the ancient greek religion had no problems whatsoever with homosexuality.

but if he created two men first then there would have been no further population
just because you believe it started with Adam and Eve doesnt mean it was or is always going to be male/female

what happened to the days when people were more intelligent?
If people would focus on love/tolerance for fellow man instead of hate the world would be happier.
