My wife (and her mother) have noticed that people with a heavy concentration of Native American blood have this problem. Regardless of how they try to color thier hair, it always has a heavy RED look to it.
How to fix? No idea. Just thought I'd offer the informaiton for what it's worth.

You can't, you have to let it grow out or cut the red off. Tell your friend that it probably look's nice on them ask around first

Use a color with ash in it. It will take the red out.

but some hair coloring or go to a hair dresser

go to a salon and get her hair stripped

wash it everyday with head and shoulders and it will fade out.then get the colour you want and dye it !
