Have you ever noticed that dogs love to rip apart dog toys to get to the squeeker, then they puncture the squeeker, and then they lose interest in the toy. Is there something about the pitch of the squeeker that hurts there ears or something?

I have squeeker killers and stuffed animal murders at my house too. I think it's fun for them.

They don't hate the squeakers, most love them! They rip the toy apart because they're playing, they're having fun. I think this is fairly obvious by the fact that they lose interest once the lovely squeaker is gone!

And obviously, dog toys wouldn't be made with sounds that hurt dog's ears. That would be rubbish.

I don't think it is because they don't like the squeeker. I think that it's because they want to find where the noise is coming from. Once they figure it out it's not interesting to them anymore. If it hurt their ears they wouldn't want to play with it at all. Good luck

They tear apart the toys with the squeaker because they like to bite into the squeaker because they think it is a game and the object of the game is to kill the squeaker. It doesn't hurt their ears at all.

My dogs love squeaky toys. If it doesn't squeak it will sit around and not get played with. They love the rubber chickens. They chew on the toys until they can find the squeaker then when they find it that is all they do is squeak the toy all day.

I think it's the opposite - my dogs go crazy over squeakers. It doesn't hurt their ears, they just like the noise.
