My friend and I are going out of the counrty in 6 days. She just applied for her passport today (expedited application), does anyone know how long an expedited app takes to show on the status website?

I realize she won't get the passport in time. However they told her she will need to print out her proof of app from their status website, does anyone know how long it takes the app to show up on the status site?

I expedited a passport in January before the huge rush took place and that still took 2 weeks to get it back. Now if you read online passports are taking months to get back. What was your friend thinking for waiting so long? If you are going to the Carribbean, Mexico, or Canada you can get a form to show along with your ID and birth certificate to get back in the country.

Sorry, don't know low long it takes for that application to show up on the website so she can get her proof of application. This is an excellent question and I hope you hear from someone who has been thru it. You could try calling or going to the passort office at the local post office to ask. I understand calling the passport office is almost imossible. Good Luck.

Expedited Application takes two to three weeks.
