Teresa, spent her life doing good deeds.

Based on what Teresa said and believed, it doesn't look good for her.

Why did the one who dedicated her life to doing "good deeds" probably fall short and the one who lived most of his life for evil find forgiveness?

Grace

Unmerited, or undeserved favor.....which is exactly what we get from God because of Christ's death, burial & resurrection

Ephesians 2:8-9

Amen to the testimony as well!

I would rather throw my lot in with Mother Teresa and what she did for God and others than with D Berkowitz and what he did for others.
I hope that D Berkowitz and your repentance and submission to Grace is real but I know that Mother Teresa's was real-just look at the fruits of faithGod produced in her.Are your fruits and Berkowitz's as real and loving?
Have your read her writings? Everything Blessed Teresa of Calcutta did was motivated by faith alone and her transforming relationship with Christ. She lived in fellowship with Jesus and his Body(including His and our Mother Mary).
She saw Jesus in everyone. Apparently you do not. I hope that I am wrong.
Remember "cheap grace" is not a partaking of the free gift of God's self-giving. Real Grace transforms and acts in love.
Real Grace demands that we yield to the Holy Spirit. Real Grace does not excuse our refusal to convert away from sin .

Grace = Unmerited Favor.

Good deeds don't get you to heaven. Teresa believed the illusion that they do and therefore thought she didn't need forgiveness to be saved. David didn't do good deeds so he was able to accept the idea of forgiveness easier.
