Two weeks is the best advance notice for a party. Anything earlier, and they might forget. Anything later, and they might have plans. I'd say you are right on target.

If it's going to be a casual BBQ, I think 2 weeks would definitely suffice.
Even if you had more time to work with, I would normally say 2-3 weeks notice is perfectly acceptable for an informal get-together.

2 weeks is certainly enough time in that no one will be offended by the lateness of the invitation. However, you must keep in mind that people are often very busy in the summer, and their weekends might already be booked. I would say more like 3-4 weeks for a summer get together.

For a casual party like this, I'd think 2 weeks is fine. If it was a holiday weekend or a formal event, I'd give six weeks.

2 weeks would work IF you mail them out IMMEDIATELY.
I would suggest 30 days....but 2 weeks is ok if you phone each of them NOW...and tell them the written invites are in the mail.
By phoning them you give them the chance to calendar it, you get an R.S.V.P. yourself, AND you can give them directions too!
ONLY IF THEY ASK would I even mention a 'housewarming present'..
IF they ask, I'd give them a choice--- *they can bring you a gift. OR give a donation to "Housing Hope".
HAVE FUN!
