If somebody is the Messiah, and does what the Messiah is meant to do, it will be very obvious. After all, the Third Temple being built will be hard to miss, world peace will be an obvious give away, the resurrection of the dead very blatant, the ingathering of the Jews to Israel would make me move to another country, the non-Jewish nations atually admitting the jews are right something no one is going to miss- and the sacrifice of parah adumah (red heffer) a spectacle to which I want front row seats!

So if somebody comes, and the above happen, I will gladly accept him as the Mesisah. Of course, Jesus failed to perform any of the above.

Well...

He'd have to prove he was descended from King David, prove he was a prophet, re-establish the Sanhedrin (Jewish High Court), rebuild the Holy Temple, bring about world peace, and usher in an age of spirituality, prophecy and Eden on earth. Not to mention being the prelude to the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment of mankind.

If he managed to do all that, then, yeah, I would accept him as the Messiah.
We Jews have pretty rigorous standards.

Not Jewish.

However, if a single person actually fulfilled every last one of the Messianic prophecies, not only would I not be an atheist any longer, but I would follow that person as HaMosiach and convert to either Orthodox or Chassidich Judaism.

I'm not Jewish but they didn't believe Jesus, why would they believe anybody else? If someone came and destroyed all of their enemies, then they might believe. That is what they are looking for-a warrior savior, not a meek, humble carpenter. Jesus' Second Coming IS what they are looking for and in fact, they turn to Jesus at the last moment. Until then, they are punished throughout history for their unbelief. I mean, God gave them Manna and they complained!

The Old Testamant gave a very specfic prophecy about the qualifications of the Messiah, and how to identify him; if you search here you can see what they are. Christ did not meet the requirements, not even close.

The Messiah would have to fulfill ALL of the prophecies (Jesus fulfilled none) and would undergo rigorous scrutiny by a Beit Din (house of judges/rabbinic council).. the "messiah" is more about a political liberation and not a religious one.

I am not Jewish, but the Bible says that anti-christ will be VERY believable. So, much so, that even the very elect (the church) might be deceived.
