after i added the water i found we were out of eggs. can it be salvaged? can i just cover it for a while til i can get eggs or should i pitch it?

I have substituted applesauce in for eggs when I bake cakes for my Hindu friend. Just use a little more than a tablespoon for each egg.

You can cover it for some time until you get the eggs.

cover ur batter and run to the store and get some eggs it happened to me once but im good friends with my neighbours so they were more than happy to give me three eggs. its a good thing we are so close cause they ran out of mayo and had to get some from me the following day

borrow some eggs from the neighbor.then give her 1$ for the eggs.

Mix what you have together, cover it, then go get eggs. It will be fine.

I hate when that happens!
You can cover it and come back to it. I wouldn't let it sit for a long time though - an hour or so tops.

Just cover it at put it in the fridge..
It will be fine for a few hours.
