Those who love and seek the truth receive a gift from God called faith and through faith comes revelation. God reveals his truth to those who love the truth.

Some of it is...alot of it isnt.

If you research history & make time to research different religions & cultures you will learn that alot of the Bible has been re-written, books have been left out and not all of the Bible is the "official" word of God.

Everything Jesus Christ taught is the official Word of God, because He is God. It was the Word of God as soon as He spoke it. It didn't become the Word of God when the Apostles mentioned it in their correspondence, or when the Church, three and a half centuries later, collected some of those writings into a book. Everything Jesus taught was and is the Word of God. The portions of it that were written down are the New Testament. The portions that were not written down are called Apostolic Tradition, and like the written portions, are the Word of God.

i believe so. The bible is the word of God written by men He appointed. God established a relationship with man and religion is man's way of establishing a relationship with God. the bible is one of the ways to help you grow closer to Him. if you do research..no other religions in the world can come close to what Jesus has done for mankind.

Some would like to turn this into a contest...

'Oh yeah, our book fell out of the sky sprinkled with star dust and the words were written with lightning...'

... but, the Bible is self authenticating. It's the truth, it's the Word of God, just like it says it is.

Why is there still a need for religion? There was never any proof that a creature like god, or whatever, existed. It all came from man's imagination.

Each "holy" book is the official book of god. There are quite a few that are the only one. A whole lot of onlys .

No. There is no god, never has one been proven to exist, so there can't be an official word.

If one did exist, surely it could do better than that book of babbling!
