i have 1 4 month old boxer terrier and hes scared of water, he likes water in the bath tub for his bath but not the hose or the sprinkler how can i get him to like water?

As long as you can clean him and he drinks from his bowl leave him be. Go buy some tennis balls for fun / playtime.

I don't particularly like getting shot with the hose or caught in the sprinkler, it's usually cold, but I do enjoy a bath and a romp at the beach. Should he be any different?

Well, you have to give him a chance to get used to the hose, beach, and sprinkler water and when he gets used to the different water, that means that he has conquered his fear of different water than what's he's used to and then he'll like the different water

My baby rottweiler did the same thing. This is what we did. Every weekend, we'd go to a lake or a river where dogs may swim,I'd get in the water and call her. After a couple of times of this my dog learned to swim really well and she also loves swimming now.

Maybe the water is too cold, or it's just scaring him because he's never been exposed to something like that. He just needs to get used to it and he'll be fine.

he is probably just afraid because the water comes out to fast...he just has to get use to the water...have him spend more time around that

he's just got to get used to it. he needs to be around it more. try going in it w/ him.
