your no longer a dependent of that veteran if your old enought to apply for a home lone so no you would not be able to collect any veteran benifits unless you are under 21 and living in his home still. once a child of the military turns 21 there free to go considered there own being and will not be suported by the government in anyway

I am not too sure of how answer this with out all the info. So, I will give it a shot down two lines of thought.
1) The child of a veteran who lost their life on active duty. Survivor’s benefits are listed through the Veteran's Administration, Social Security Administration and the Casualty Asstantace Office at the nearest military installation. I would HIGHLY recommend that you contact the Casualty Asstance Office for help and advice.
2) The child of a veteran whose parents a separated by divorce. If the veteran is on active duty and the divorce has yet to be finalized. Said service member MUST , MUST , MUST (by regulation) provide their spouse with the BAH (Basic Housing Allowance) for their pay grade every month from their monthly pay.
If the divorce is finalized, then NO, the child has no benefits that they (the child alone) could draw from the Veteran's Administration.
3) The veteran is separated from military service. NO, simple as that.

No the loans are for veterans thru the VA. Being the child of a veteran does not entitle you to one.
