I think so but tell me what you think.
And those of you who support amnesty and inviting 100,000,000 more, can you tell me why this is good and who will benefit from it besides the illegals who broke the law and the rich owners of corporate companies who benefit from cheap slave labor?
This is the end of America and it is not funny anymore!

Congress is discussing this as we speak and it is sick and twisted! To even consider this before our borders are secured is INSANE!
We begged Democrats to take control and fix the mess we are in with Iraq and the Constitution and what do they do - they further the destruction of our Nation.
I feel like I am living in ancient Rome!

i agree, this bill would be the downfall of our society. we would no longer be the usa. I don't see why people would want to allow millions of illegal people here who don't want to follow our laws, don't want to learn english or our culture, don't want to pay taxes, but want to mooch off all of our social programs. This bill would bankrupt our country and be the beginning of the downfall of this country!

I don't think it's as extreme as the final nail in the coffin, but I do think it's a very bad thing and is the biggest issue before us now, overshadowing Iraq considerably.
They apparently don't care if it's a nail in the coffin as long as it helps them stay in power and brings in the corporate contributions.
And to answer your question about who will benefit - you overlooked the Democratic Party. This is why Kennedy set this up all the way back in the 1960's and has sponsored repeated amnesties. 90% of immigrants vote Democrat. After they get established and learn the ropes many shift to the Republicans. The Dems need a steady influx of immigrants to stay in power.

If this amnesty is passed this country will change for the needs of the former illegals and not for the needs of the American people, and then to add insult to injury they will pass the bill to us

I know it's bad and is sickening to me as well. My suggestion is to give all the jobs that illegals work to our unemployed that want to work. If there's anything left over, then we can legalize enough of them that are trying to come through the legal way and are willing to work those jobs. As for the rest, we need to build that wall across the entire border, not just part of it, then start deporting the illegals. Cut off wellfare and free medicaid and change the legality of children born to illegal immigrants. Then we'll see how easy it is for them to cross back over.

perhaps its a takeover bid for mexico. I dont know the total population of mexico but we could just amnesty the whole lot of them and ask for mexico as compensation. I understand the infrastructure is a disaster but many americans love to vacation in some of the costal areas.

It is frightening that our own politicians could sell out our nation. Most frightening is that by not voting most Americans have let them. They answered to no one. I just hope that it is not too late for them to realize that we will vote them out and that Americans will take the initiative to start voting. No complaints if you don't vote you allowed it to happen. The end of USA is the worst nightmare of my life not at all humerous. I'll say another prayer and send another e-mail just as I do every hour of every day!

No, there's room for a few more nails after that one - capitulating to Al Qaeda, for instance. We might even last long enough to enact that third amnesty for 100 million illegals around 2027...

The final nail will be driven when the House rejects this bill if it ever gets there. Bush will not get his signing day.
The real issue is that lower and middle class America will suffer if this bill passes, we have suffered enough abuse by the illegal aliens.
Corporate America may control the money, but they do not control our voices.

maybe. time will tell, i don't know much about immigration bills and amnesties, but it seems to me us regular working guys are getting screwed, as you suggest the ones who hire cheap labor and the illegals are the ones who benefit from this. and it's not funny anymore. i used to work in construction and that trade went down the tubes.
