"God=love", "faith is works", "there is only one" "we are the children" and so forth.

Either that or quote thoughtlessly and endlessly out of "the book" (aka "the bible" - simple title for a simple text).

Do you people really think you are being PROFOUND with such simple/empty answers? Your simple answers come off as simple-minded, as you do not provoke any real thought about anything.

Or is it this: "the more points I earn in R&S, the more spiritual I am" Do you really think Y!A reports their point tallies to your god?

Sticking to the subject is the job of a simple answer. One liners frequently give you more to think about than all the explanations in the world (that belong to someone else anyway). In other words, it sends you to explore for your own thinking.

I dunno... probably for the same reason that some atheists answer questions the same way. I have recieved many one line answers from those I would presume to be non-believers, apparently the authors of those comments thought they were being profound... who knows? I doubt it has anything to do with religious affiliation or lack thereof, it probably is something to do with personality.

Most don't know any more, and most cannot even explain the one-liners, and this comes from not just Yahoo experience but from years of engaging them in person and on TV.

I answer almost everything with a one liner. Not religious either, just love the quips.

Profound truth is simple. Flapping your gums ad nauseum does not make you smarter or right!
