Why do brochures not rate them for access. We are having a nightmare. You shouldnt have to spend 10 mins once you have chosen a hotel while the travel agent gets the door dimensions etc... We just want to go on holiday. A hotel/apartment rather than a villa preferred

My dear, although I hate having to do this, I haveto warn you against Greece. Although it is a beautiful country, warm and good for kids, and although the law is clear on the fact that wheelchair access must be everywhere, unfortunately many places, roads, even hoitels are not suitable for wheelchair users. I have seen wheelchair users in Greece of course, locals and tourists, and they manage somehow. But honestly, I don't know how they make it! Sure if you go to Hilton hotel or an equally good and trustworthy hotel, and you have help, you can make it, the metroi is whelchair accessible, now even the Acropolis has an elevator for whhelchair users, so it is possible, but not everywhere (e.g. you will have to ask if the ferry you are going to take has an elevator, because not all do).
