I'm going camping in a few weeks with a frind of mine, whome I have a major crush on. and he doesnt want to spend the extra money to get two tents instead of one. and the question I have is is it morally wrong to share a tent with a member of the oposite sex even when you know nothing will happen?
Is it wrong to share a tent, just to sleep next to eachother even if it is completely innocent?

Oh, I took Carpathian to mean romanian, but I looked it up on wikepedia, and it's also a fictional race of good looking vampires. Oops.

Has anyone here ever been camping? You're very literally 5 feet and piece of fabric away from your neighbour.
When I say nothing will happen, I mean it.
And my question was not about sex, or if it's in danger of happening, but rather I'm asking if IN ADITION TO sex outside of marriage being wrong, if sleeping close together is wrong?

You don't say how old the 2 of you are but if you are under 18 then it is morally wrong for the 2 of you to share a tent. Doesn't sound very innocent to me.
How do you know nothing will happen? It is obvious why he doesn't want to spend the extra money - by sharing a tent he wants to "get to know you" better.
If you are under 18 then such activity wouldn't only be morally wrong it would be cause for legal action.
Offer to pay for another tent and if he refuses then don't go camping with him.
If the both of you are over 18, then keep in mind what is probably on his mind then make your decision.

In the early 40's we lived in a two bedroom house, and my mother and dad had a room of their own, and we kids had a room of our own. It was mixed gender, but we never even thought about gender. We knew we were different but we did not care about the difference. I do not think it was morally wrong for us to live in the same bedroom.
However, you said you had a major crush on this boy, and I would question how you feel about sharing the same tent. Maybe it is a problem for you because you are afraid of the temptation. In that case, it would depend on how much mastery you have of yourself.

Its not morally wrong "to share a tent with a member of the oposite sex even when you know nothing will happen"....but its pretty pointless. Get on it, girl! Innocence is overrated.

It's not wrong, but the temptation could easily get the best of you. Remember to take your pill, and pack some condoms. just...in...case.
**It doesn't matter whose perspective this is from, it's still way too easy to succumb to hormones. Take it from the voice of experience, I have a son older than you. These things happen. If you want to avoid sex, take 2 tents, but even that isn't a guarantee.

If the boy is of Carpathian ancestry, a lot of things are going to happen in that tent. Follow the boy-scout motto and always go prepared ;)

1. you will be dressed, and so will he
2. you will be in your own sleeping bag, so will he.
3. privacy in a tent is just a theory (the walls are paper thing)
4. the only reason you are concerned with the *morality* of this situation is because you are afraid of what others will think.
Options
1. don't discuss your sleeping arrangements with other people. It isn't their business anyway.
2. buy your own equipment, but remember, people will talk any way.

You are putting yourself in a position of scandal, that is not good.Even if nothing happens. Doing that will send messages to other people, and they won't be good messages.
Forget about him and his cheap tent. He obviously does not think anything about keeping your honor or reputation on the good side.

You are twenty one and you still call men of twenty six boys?
I am not sure that spending time in the woods with a young man is a good idea until there is a maturity of time.
I also think your mind is already made up.
seen this.
Are you ready to be married or have children?

One should avoid the appearance of evil.
I would also wonder here about his intentions in this regard; maybe he does expect something to happen. Try telling him you are getting your own tent and see what he says.
