Both. On the rare occasions when I can suppress my natural bent for sarcasm, I do answer helpfully if I know what I'm talking about.

I believe we are here on this earth for a reason and we do need to help others any how we can. I believe I do help people. I have some people emailing me thanking me of my answers which did help them in some issues, like Relationship Issues. However, sometimes it is for entertainment , especially in Polls.

To help others and to entertain myself. It allows me to give my two cents worth for free and anonymously. It also makes me feel good that they can choose to listen and take my advice or not. It's up to them. I can't do it to people I know, so here is the best place to vent or to share.

I'm on here mostly to pass the time or to unwind after work. My answers come from personal experience or opinion and may or may not be of help to a question.

A bit of both. Some people truly care to know the answers to the questions, but others are so far out there, I can't help but poke fun.

For me it is a little of both, depending on the question and category. In P & S it is more for entertainment but in other more serious categories my intention is to share my knowledge.

I like to think I could possibly help someone, but most of the time it is just a time killer...............Too many nonsense questions to read to get to a sincere question that I think I can give a good answer.

I have been told, on occasion, that I have helped someone by leading them to a good resource or web site.
But mostly it is entertaining. There isn't a huge amount of depth here. :o)

Entertainment, but I sometimes slap some sense into people in my less-than-considerate fashion. I do also answer legitimate questions when I can.

Mostly for fun, but there is the occasional patron that asks sincere questions that deserve well though out and executed answers.
