A pretty good friend of mine is getting married this weekend and I (like most guys) have not even thought of what to get them. I need something that they will be able to use and is really unique and personal and (as bad as it sounds) as cheap as possible I am hurting for money right now. PLEASE HELP ME!

Frame the invitation and give it to them as a gift. Many couples don't have an extra invitation and if they do who cares, yours is already franed! This has been a lfiesaver gift for me and everyone loves it. They will have a lfielong reminder of their love to take with them wherever they go. It can be a wall mount frame or the standup kind, they will definitely apprecitae your thought!

Enjoy

Buy some nice white fluffy towels. These are always needed, although not unique. Pretty personal, though, as they'll use them on their naked bodies everyday.

Unique is hard at this point b/c it's a late date, but how about a game? Scrabble Deluxe or Pictionary or Scene It or Taboo.

A deviled egg tray by Arthur Court or Wilton Armetal. Pretty, practical, and not too expensive. About $40 at Macy's.

If they drink, a crystal decanter (go to Marshalls or TJ Maxx) and a nice bottle of liquor to fill it with.

A coffee basket. See if they have coffee mugs on their registry and then get them some nice coffee to go with them and as an added plus, a subscription to the paper for their new home or go to Things Remembered and see if they have a coffee scoop that can be monogrammed.

A nice ice scoop and ice bucket.

Good luck!

Have they registered anywhere? Most couples are advised to put things on their registry in a variety of price ranges.

If not, a gift card that covers dinner for two to a nice but inexpensive eatery plus a nice card explaining that it's a night out for them is always nice! You can even include movie gift certificates and make it a date night in an envelope!

You could find a less expensive set of 2 wine glasses like a his and hers.....put a picture of them in a frame.....or any pretty picture, a bottle of wine....or even a gift certificate for like dinner and movie or somewhere else that they can have a romantic night out.
Good luck.... I have 4 weddings this summer and also not a lot of money.....It can be stressful! ! =)

I just got married and some of our single friends who don't have a lot of money gave us a GC to dinner, movies, a picture frame. something small like that but still says you thought of them. Remember though they are spending about $100 for you to attend their wedding. Most people are understanding though and know most people are broke.
make sure to check their registry and get something off there for cheap. don't just go to a store and get them somthing. people have a registry for a reason.

This has happened to me several times. What I do is take my own pictures at the wedding. Especially during the reception, pictures random where people care not knowing you are taking them (unposed). I then make them a photo album of the random unprofessional pictures and they love them. They are more special than the professional ones.

get a bunch of candles the colours are in this poem and box them all up and write this poem

A basket of candles for ...( insert names of bride and groom)

A basket of candles come in a pair
In all different colours for you to share
The white ones burn first
they are all wrapped in white lace.
To celebrate your first married night in your new chosen place.
The green pair is taller, and so much thinner
Burn with the first company, you have over for dinner.
The dark blue candles are for after your first fight
use them to burn while you make up all night.
Pink candles set the mood and pave the way for your
first married Valentine's day.
Now when your first year of marriage is through the cream anniversary pair, will light forr you two.
Red candles aflame, both your futures are bright.
Celebrate promotions you've worked towards with all fo you might.
By this time we hope , just maybe you can light the light purple ones, on the birth of your baby.
and just when you thought you'd put these away take the light blue ones out - for your fifth anniversary day.
NOW just one Moor pair left - for the big 25 the anniversary pair that will keep your love alive

Congratulations on the start of your marriage forever

May the two of you always be happy together and burn these candles just the way we said:

But please don't forget to blow them out before bed!

I usually use the gift registry and buy a bunch of the least expensive things on the list. But definately use the gift registry to find something in your price range!

A nice picture frame with the wedding date engraved on it.
Check out items at Things Remembered.

Get them a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses. Or maybe write them a poem and frame it!
