MaxMarie, Thanks for the web sites, but fundamental Islam is the foundational Islam (Koran, Shariah). Fundamental Christianit is the Holy Bible (Salvation by Grace). Christianity never did commit genocide. Jesus showed the world the evil sin nature of man to torture to death innocent people.

You can look at Iran for your answer. Christians are killed for talking about Jesus out side their homes or Church's. Christians are attacked and the government does not protect them and if they defend them selves they are killed by the government. When Islam rules all those who don't believe as they do get hurt or killed. Sadly to once Christianity was the same way but that is not what Christ taught.

Under Islamic rule, all humans have a right to life, liberty and justice. Though I know many will scoff at this comment, which is due to the fact that there are currently no countries that are under a truly Islamic rule. Most the places known to be, actually have a dictator in charge, who uses Islam as a tool to keep power. Under a truly Islamic rule, the Christians and Jews would be allowed to practice their religions fully, as would the Muslims. They would co-exist and be encouraged to peacefully discuss their differences to better understand one another. God Willing, the Muslim countries will once again be ruled by Islam... and not dictators!

Christians according to the Islamic Sharia Law, have the same rights of Muslims, but not the same obligations.. While Muslims pay 2.5% of any sum they saved for a year as charity, Christians pays 2% only as a tax. They do not join the army, unless volanteered .

They're able to do their worshippings under protection of the Country and are entitled to public service position - Except Judiciary and presidency - They enjoy freedom of expression, privacy, and all other rights of Muslims.

As proven historically since the Biblical times of Ismaelites, and as prophesied by the Prophets, that these kind of people are troublemakers (Genesis 17-21), then expect that the same what they had done during the September 11 terror
and much more if they rule in a nation. There are 67 Bible centered Protestant dominated nations in the world today, Roman Catholic nations 55, Muslim nations 50, eastern religion 11, and 2 self-confessed athiest nations.

The problem is not Islam. The problem is fundamental Islam.

When the Sharia Laws are adopted the "liberal" Muslims - such as women who go without the hijab or men who enjoy beer - will be treated the same as we Christians.

Adoption of the Sharia by the Sudanese government is what has prompted the genocide in Darfur.

You see, the problem with Islam is the same as the problem with Christianity. The problem is those who would use God as a weapon of their hatred.

The Christians are treated well. In the Holy Quran Muslims are said as those who if ruled over lands will be protectors of Church, Synagogue and Mosques where Allah's name is abundantly proclaimed.
Here is a great story of Caliph Umar and Bishop of Jeruselem. It will tell you how Islam respected other's beliefs.

I live in an Islamic country however, there are lots of christians here. They are able to worship their religion and no one bothers them. They are not allowed to go around and try to convert Muslims, they will be arrested if they did this. We all just want the same basic things...to be able to feed our families, practice our religion and education.

Bahrain is Islamic and they treat the large christian population very well...there are churches here and their activities are mentioned in the local paper all the time plus they bring speakers from other countries to preach here.

Most of them treat Christians "okay", meaning as long as you follow the laws and such, they leave you alone. While there are also trouble makers who will pick on them because they are a minority, the majority tend to leave you alone. It's the violent minority that you hear about a lot of the time, but then it depends on where you are too. Christians get killed all over the place every day, but you don't hear about it.

By the Koran teachings, they should treat them as humans first. This, is based on the assumption that all Muslims and Christians are good followers of their respective religions and AIM to coexist peacefully.
