Most people do not understand that you can have dandruff caused by dry scalp while still having oily hair. Selsun Blue is the very best for dandruff. Apply and leave on for a couple of minutes then followup with a "dry scalp" shampoo as opposed to a moisturizing shampoo. You will definitely want to avoid anything with any type of alcohol as an ingredient. Cetyl alcohol is most common in conditioners. Avoid putting it on your hair or scalp.

Brush your hair every night with a good quality natural hair brush.... In the morning or whenever you shower mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with your normal shampoo.. This will cut the oil in your scalp and get out any styling product residue and it doesn't affect the hair color... I do this about once a week.. The important thing is to distribute the natural hair oils throughout your hair.. Oh and only condition the ends of your hair if your scalp is oily.. Why waste conditioner....

You probably have using the same shampoo too long. You are suppose to change your shampoo and conditioner every 6 months or more i think. Also, you should talk to the ppl at Great Clips and get some of their shampoo and conditioner. They know ALOT and can help you with alot. Also, you should probably ask them hoew often you should really switch your shampoo and conditioner cuz i'm not really sure. I don't think you need to switch your shampoo and conditioner if you baught it at Great Clips though. Hope this helps! Happy Hair Day! XD XD

ok first of all go out and buy a shampoo that doesnt have moisturizing stuff in it because that does create oily hair. Also, if you use conditioner, then make sure is a wash-out conditioner and not one you leave in. When you use the conditioner only put it from the ear down because if you put it on the top of your head and scalp, it can also create extra oils.

Instead of coping with oily hair, get rid of it! If you take showers regularily (like every day or every other day) and still get oily hair that fast add some baby powder to your hair. Works wonders. Good luck.
