These are steri-strips. they are on there securely for a reason. Sometimes it takes up to 2 weeks to fall off. this is to protect your wound while it heals from the inside. Taking them off prematurely may cause an infections

the strips usually fall off on their own, give it a day or maybe a few, if they dont get loose on their own call your doctor and ask, that's what your doctor is there for to answer your questions, your doctor knows you and your medical history better than anyone on here ever would. depending on the type of surgery you had applying different oils to try to get the tape off could possibly do more harm than good. before you try anything you should talk to your doctor, thats the only advise that i can really give you as a medical professional.

Are you allowed to get the area wet? If so, I would suggest going for a swim, or taking a bath or something, and make sure to get that area nice and soaked... That will loosen the tape up. It's going to hurt when you take it off no matter what :-\ just make sure you don't damage the incision.

they actually have a swab called tape off. just swipe it on and it loosens the tape and adhesive. But, you should let the tape stay till it works off by itself. This insures that the wound is fully healed.

medical adhesive can be removed by using a adhesive remover which can be expensive baby oil , or figure nails polish remover can be used ,, another thing that can be used is lighter fluid but be sure to wash thoroughly with soap and water after applying and depending on the area of course do not use on open area of skin or near the eyes nose or mouth

Try mineral or baby oil. Cooking oil such as canola would do in a pinch, too.
