Maps give you the travel time in the best of circumstances. Allow time for morning traffic. You should walk into the airport at noon. I'l leave at 9:00 just to be sure.

Better to have some extra time at the airport than be stressed on the trip there.

Leave no later than 10 a.m.. Plan ahead. Know alternative routes to the airport in case a wreck or construction is taking place. At that hour, you shouldn't hit rush hour. But keep in mind, that you may have automobile trouble. There is nothing wrong with being at the airport too early.

However, do not check your luggage as soon as you get to the terminal. Wait until you are within the two hour or less window before doing so. Many people don't realize, but the earlier you check your bags in, the more likelyhood there is of them getting lost or sent on another flight.

When your bag disappears behind the curtain at the counter, they go into a bag room and circle a carousel for hours until your flight number is being loaded up. The longer it circles, the more probability of it being grabbed by mistake and loaded onto another flight.

And finally, plan for TSA. They may be in one of those slow days where the estimated wait time for security is over 45 minutes. Just keep all of these things in mind and you won't find yourself running up to the counter at the last minute to check in.

Leave between 10 and 10:30 a.m. so that you can get to the airport by 12:30 which is 90 minutes before the flight.

Have a nice trip!

I would be ready to leave by 10 am. That should give you plenty of time to encounter traffic, get lost in the airport parking lot, and stand in line forever at security, but still make it to the gate with plenty of time.

Now, if you're going to have to drive through an area that you know has heavy traffic, or road construction, you might wanna leave at 9:30 or earlier. Conversely, if you know for sure that you won't get stuck behind anyone, and you're familiar with the airport, you might be able to leave at 10:30

You wanna be there at absolute least 1 hour before hand, but it's better if you're there 90 minutes before, in case the lines are long.
