If your friends think that having a vehicle makes them a better Christian than you, then I can't even begin to describe how far off the mark they are! The last thing Christianity concerns itself with is the accumulation of personal possessions.

Did someone actually tell you that you are going to burn in hell for not having a vehicle?
Now, that is funny.
Of course, you want to own a vehicle. But, at this point in your life, for whatever reason....you don't.
Get over it, and move on.
I know a man who actually had his experience with Jesus when he got into major trouble with some bad folks out in California. He had to literally run for his life...he not only didnt own a vehicle, he didn't even have time to put on a pair of shoes. He wound up hitch-hiking...walking on the boiling hot pavement...
That night, he found himself a cardboard box to sleep in. He says he checked carefully to make very sure there was nothing anywhere near him...and he fell asleep.
The next morning, when he awoke, there was a pair of sneakers, sitting side by side in front of the box, just as if they had been placed there on purpose. They were a beautiful sight, to my friend, that morning...even if he did have to cut holes in the front for his toes to fit.
He is convinced that God sent an angel to put those shoes there for him...and I am not the one to argue with him about it.
At any rate, that experience caused him to turn his life around. Today, he has a wife, kids, a house, a dog, and two vehicles...but his most precious possession of all, he is quick to tell you, is his faith in Christ.

I am a Christian who IS humble. I don't try to Lord it over anyone. I totally do not get your "vehicle" correlation.
Are you trying to say that only humble Christians don't have a car? That doesn't make sense.

Sorry, I don't see the link with a 'vehicle'... I know how a christian can get fed up with other christians, but... about cars? I think what you're fed up with is stupidity -yes, some christians are stupid too...

You are only a christian if you abide in Jesus .Jesus doesnt judge.Everyone that calls him or herself a christian but judges are false God is not comming to judge between christians and muslems or anyone else ,but between christian and christian.Muslem and muslem .Jew and jew.Right and wrong. If yoiu choose to be a christian,be a good one.If you choose to be a muslem,be a good one.It is the false christians that say God loves christians and hate muslems, just to cause war .The devil dont worry if you are a muslem or christian .He just wants war between them

Though I do not understand where you're going with this question, I will say this:
Christians are all christians.....equal in God's eyes...it matters not wealth or job status...or lack of a vehicle. All of us are created as equals.

Calm down and look what it takes to be a Christian. It is not objects It is a contrite heart. maybe the people you are thinking of as Christians are just people who show up at church.

I've never had a driver's license, much less a car... never needed one either. And I've never really had another Christian comment on it negatively either. The whole idea sounds a bit strange to me. Maybe it's just a regional thing?

I think the idea Jesus put forward was that we should rid ourselves of earthly possessions, live from day to day and of course follow his new commandment. I don't think he intended us to be humble but the ability to be a servant as much as a supporter of the faith. Appreciating that was 2000 years ago I think the difficulty is translating the word to modern day living.

I don't, I could live without all of the expenses, but i have to have one because i work in a different town--if I lived in the same town i worked in, I'd walk and save hundreds of dollars a month--Jesus walked, didn't he? he didn't have one of those harem chair deals that other kings rode around in
