Shewolf, I LOVED your site and addded it to my favorites list. I have been a practicing Witch since July of 1971 and in ALL that time I have never cast a spell the was intended to harm anyone. I have never even made a judgement about anyone else's religious beliefs. IN ALL of the 38+ years I have NEVER so much as attempted to "worship" the Being that Christians refer to as Satan. Yet ALL throughout that period I have been accused of doing so. I have been considered to be an EVIL person, been told innumerable times that I am going to Hell. I have had a burning cross in my front yard, had my tires slashed and anit-witch graffiti spray painted and scratched onto my vehicle, had my house vandalized repeatedly, and have been threatened with being burned alive in my home while I slept, and even been beaten up by "GOOD Christians". I've seen, on here and other places, where Christians "whine" about being persecuted just because someone asks them to explain a few of the MANY inconsistencies in their Bible. They have NO idea what it's LIKE to be REALLY persecuted for following their Religious beliefs. I have NEVER persecuted them yet they feel that they not only have the RIGHT to persecute US but, they have the moral DUTY to do so.
With ALL of these criminal actions that have been shown to me, I STILL have NOT returned their hatred in like kind. I have met MANY Christians who are loving, accepting and tolerant of our lifestyle. I have ALSO met MANY Muslims, Jews and others who are JUST as nice about it as well. I DON'T judge the WHOLE group by the actions of a few crazies. I honestly HOPE that those Christian "crazies" Never have to undergo the levels of persecution that I have undergone, BUT, if they do, then perhaps being on the recieving end of that kind of behavior WIL give them a whole NEW perspective on acceptance and tolerance towards others who do NOT believe as they do.
Brightest Blessings,
Raji the Green Witch

Ouch, you must like abuse on Monday mornings.
Ok, here goes. I am a practicing Wiccan, I don't like the phrase witch, the whole hook-nosed hag on broomstick thing puts me off. My husband is also Wiccan. Our lifestyle is very simple and basic. We have opened our hearts and our homes to friends in need. All are welcome at our table, regardless of beliefs. We respect nature, the earth, and other being's rights to live in peace (although I do draw the line at bugs, ants and spiders. Can't stand them).
I have met scores of "good christians" that have judged me as somehow sub-human based on my beliefs. I have been ranted at that I will burn in hell, accused of worshipping satan, and, my personal favorite, told that I make blood sacrifices. When I denied all of this (rightfully so, I might add), these "good christians" told me that they did not believe my lies, for the devil speaks from many tounges (no, I am not kidding, I was told that verbatim by 3 different people).
Still, my faith is true, and my belief persists.

Dear Shewolf,
I love your questions and I am so happy to read them and your answers. I'm a pagan and a Witch and I share your distress that the word Witch still suffers from such a horrible reputation. I get reactions to my use of the word Witch when I describe myself all the time. I wish the Christians who answer this will go to your website. It is fantastically inclusive of all, including Christians. I love it!
Blessings,

Macbeth, or most other pieces of Shakespearean literature that references Witches. That is taught in schools and gives a stereotype even Atheists have been known to conform to. I don't agree with the stereotype, I am just stating were I think its founded. Halloween costumes also, I doubt people can avoid getting preconceptions when "Witch" Is a "dirty" word in films, costumes and plays. This is not always the case, but works for most people(As a stereotype).
I know one "practicing witch" and he doesn't harm people he is wreckless and fun loving we get along well(but he has creeped me out before,he told me he has an incomplete soul), then again I am not Christian so even if I didn't like him I would not condem him to hell.
I am an Athiest/Agnostic.
P.S. I know I was a bit snotty, and then edited my answer: I read one of your answers, and realised... I need to go back to School.

This is because to believe in Christ and not trust witch craft. We are told witch craft is directly from satan and that satan is evil. So if you were to look at us as descriminating, we were told to believe that way by our parents, so give us the benefit of the doubt. You have free will do what you believe is right and live with what you decide.

Witches are people who try to bring the essence of the spiritual out into the open, to use it as a daily part of life. While there can be evil done with this spiritual power, there can also be much good done as well.

i don't think that witches are any worse than any body else. and the bible doesn't say to judge them are anyone else. i believe that all people are sinners. but the bible does preach that if your not saved and the way to salvation is through christ then you are lost and will go to hell when you die. jesus warned of this many times in his ministry. more so did he speak of hell then of heaven. he doesn't want anyone to go there.

God judges, and He states in the bible that anyone found doing ANY of those things will have their part in the lake of fire.

Its aginst God and that's a sin! see the following passages.
Witch spells are idolism– Romans 1:25 says, “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things, rather than the Creator…” Who wants to settle for second best? In Isaiah 40, God paints a very cool picture of how much greater the Creator is than His creation. If you are worshipping anything besides the Creator, you are just spinning your wheels.
Witch spells bring false hope – Hebrews 9:27 says, “…Man is destined to die once, after that, to face judgment.” God says we get one chance at life, and that is it. There are no do-overs. If we don’t accept God’s gift of Jesus in our lifetime, He judges us as unwilling to be in His presence, and we are sent to Hell.
Witch spells bring disillusionment – Mark 7:8 says, “You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men”. God is God, and we are not. We have a decision to make. Are we going to take God at His word and adopt His worldview, or not? Knowing God is hard work that takes a lot of discipline. Wicca is a religion that takes a pack of lies, ties it in a romantic ribbon, and searches out a well-intentioned, but lazy and gullible mark to sell its hollow doctrines.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says, “Let no one be found among you who… practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells…Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD...” Wicca witchcraft is a sin and God hates it. Why? Because it is an attempt to cut off our dependence on God and get answers apart from Him.
This is what sin is all about. Sin isn’t just a heinous, socially disagreeable action. Sin is our decision to disagree with God on any topic – to rebel against Him. Sin is saying, “God, I want to live my life MY WAY.” Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…” This isn’t bodily death, this is spiritual death: eternal separation from God and all the blessings that His presence brings. This is the definition of Hell: the absence of God’s presence. That is what our sin buys for us.
Thankfully, Romans 6:23 doesn’t end there. It goes on to say, “…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” God knew that we would all rebel in one way or another, and he provided a way for us to avoid that separation
