I'm 5'7 and I weigh 175 pounds.
Honestly, I don't think I'm that big, it's just the pesky lovehandles or whatever you want to call them.
Since it's the summer, I've made avow to lose about 20 pounds, but so far, I haven't seen much of a loss.
I eat three normal sized meals a day.
I drink at least 4 water bottles a day. and a pop every few days so I don't get the caffine headache.
I do sit-ups and crunches every night before I go to bed, and every other week, I go swimming. (Reason why it's every other week, is because I only have a pool at my dad's house, which I go to every other week, so yeah.)

Any weight loss tips or any way to get rid of the lovehandles?

stop doing sit ups and crunches - they build serious abdominal muscles, they do not burn fat so it will only make your belly look bigger since there is gona be more muscle underneath the layer of fat.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Your ideal range is 135 - 139 according to http://www.freedieting.com/tools/ideal_body_weight.htm based on a medium frame, but not taking into account a muscular person (because muscle weighs more).

Cardio (swimming) every other week isn't enough to burn a substantial amount of calories. You need to be doing up to 1 hour of cardio at least 5 days a week whether it's walking, jogging, bicycling, dancing, swimming, or whatever moves you.

Crunches are good for toning your abs, but don't forget to tone other body parts as well (arms, chest, legs, buns, etc).

Make sure your meals are healthy and not averaged sized "junk food" meals...good luck!

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.

Walking is a good way to go. Park farther from the door when shopping. Walk up the stairs at least once a day instead of the elevator. Running is not so good for the knees. Walking is cheap. No expensive equipment to buy and if you walk in your neighborhood you get to meet your neighbors.
