Why does it bother you so much?

It doesn't bother me much, as it is a useful tip that the interlocutor is prolly not really interested in debating the peculiarities of the question in the 1rst place.

But then, there is the "View/Add Comments" option available once an answer has been selected ! Just too bad it isn't much used by the participants — not too many points to be made there, eh? =:/

I'm going to answer this from a different perspective. I begin with, there are no right or wrong questions or right or wrong answers. The answer is in the question. "Don't you hate it when..." The questions invites people to agree with your position of hating a certain behavior. It is assumed the behavior is referred to others not the person asking. If this bothers you, it's a good chance you do it. And since you align it with "hate" you really don't like this behavior in yourself or you use this behavior to avoid answering a direct question that you hate. Now you realize you learned something about yourself and about the person answering your question with a question, you are both avoiding the answer.
Now for the "hate" part. When you hate something you are marrying it. You are committed to it. Ask yourself, Is it my highest choice to hate this behavior or to feel forgiveness and love? When we hate we have the equivalent amount of love available at the same time and sometimes more love.

I allow emails. Perhaps the person asking the first question should edit and post the persons answer with their name beside it/ Just an idea.

I answer with a question often because I think the person hasn't followed their line of reasoning far enough and I do allow others the chance to email me. Its even a valid and confirmed email address. I do not like that others haven't confirmed their address with YA, it shows that they aren't trusting in God enough.

Yes, that sure does drive a person crazy. What kind of person wouldn't at least respond to e-mail? Whats the point of yahoo answers then. I totally agree. : )

Yeah that does suck. You know what also sucks, when your just driving your merry way and then you see a driver speeding up behind you, there are two lanes he changes lanes speeds up, then instantly gets in front in you cutting you off. I mean theres two lanes but no he or she just has to get in front of you. Golly, those people deserve to be backhanded.

Of course. I wanted to suggest Yahoo! Discussions or Yahoo! Debates. However, I guess there are already messageboards on the subjects.

It doesn't really matter to me. I can just give them their answer by adding details. If they don't want people to email or IM them, then they probably have a good reason.

Maybe they asked you the question because they knew you could not reply : )
