First off..Atheism will never be embraced by the masses, Go to Saudi Arabia, IRAN, Iraq, Egypt and preach Atheism that will get you a date on the chopping block...
Secondly you are correct the ARABS have been fighting with the Jews for *Forever* the only thing is now they have the ability to acquire nuclear weapons, so saying you don't give a hoot what happens over there, is just going to come back to haunt you here in the USA or Europe...
And why don't you answer the question????
If a Political Leader emerges that brings PEACE to the Middle East will you embrace him? yes or no?

My understanding of the scriptures tells me that the political leader that will bring pseudo-peace to the middle east will not come until the church has raptured out. I say pseudo-peace because at the middle of the seven year treaty, he will break the treaty himself.
If I were here at that time I would not follow the Antichrist.

And I am one such person that is going to bring peace.
My plan is to let all the innocent people flee from Israel and Palestine and let the two sides fight it out......and when that's done, the rest of the world nukes the remaining fighters.
After the coast is clear, the people that fled before get to return and perhaps peace can be made that way.....among the less violent of the two sides.
That's just the basic outline.....lol Sometimes, my patience does run out with the fighting over there.
But peace won't win out over there until we get a president who is not on the Israeli's side to begin with. If we would get a president who would stand up to AIPAC and actually be neutral in the matter, and force the two sides to negotiate until they are done, then we might have some peace there.
But I really don't see that happening any time soon.

No - because if a political leader emerges that brings PEACE, he will be a representative of a religion, most likely. If he is totally Atheist, then I would listen to what he had to say before not embracing him.

The human leader that brings peace to the Middle East will not be someone a Christian would want to embrace. :D

The problem is poverty. When people have nothing, they have nothing to lose. Religion doesn't help, but the Christian fundamentalists who are donating funds and encouraging the rebuilding of Solomon's Temple atop the Dome of the Rock Mosque are not doing much to bring peace to the region. Atheists are not picking a *side,* but are wanting ALL people to be free and fed and educated. Can you say the same?

Atheism has nothing to say about world peace
atheism is the lack of belief in gods
Why wouldn't we embrace a world leader that brings peace
You get odder and odder

I think no one answered as you desired since the answer is neither yes or no.
Why? No man can bring peace to the Middle East. It has a rather long history which none of us can grasp fully. It is a family feud which 'seems' to have no end in sight.
However, there will be peace one day, when God does it himself.

Do you have someone in particular in mind (I don't believe in having "leaders," by the way)? How, exactly would this peace be brought about? And, what do you mean when you ask if we would "embrace" this person?
