Absolutely. God is in the silence. To be quiet and still is the way to feel and nurture that connection that we all have to god.

In Christianity, personal meditation is known as Prayer. And we Know the presence of God. Although God gives gifts, I don't know that He gives presents!

Read Philippians 4. Whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are true, etc.... meditate on these things....
And the God of peace stays with you. Christians meditate all the time. Be still & know God Is.

Yes I think so, you can feel the presence of 'God' while in a deep meditative state. It feels like love and acceptance.

It takes a while because the energy is very strong not like anything here on earth
Jesus did it and so did Buddha and many many more
And lately I heard Paris Hilton did as well : )
