I'm 16 now, where do I go to study flight attendant, do colleges have the course or does it have a special school for itself? should i become one? what's the best airline to get hired by?

Don't pay much attention to the 2 previous posts...they are either working for one of the companies that took the biggest hits after 911 or bitter for some other reason.
Something you need to know about this industry is that, the only thing constant, is change. You MUST be willing to roll with the punches, and suffer the extremes of juniority. This is one of the most tumultuous businesses out there. I've been with the same company for 22 years, and while, yes, I have had thoughts of other employment MORE than once, it is still the best job I have ever had...it's all attitude, and my flights are simply transportation to my layovers now. As for freaking out over it's 'riskiness'...you have a better chance of getting hit by a bus while crossing the street, than having anything happen to you on an airplane. Access most of the airline employment opportunites on each of their individual websites...they would be your best resource for information on becoming a flight attendant. Forget 'flight attendant' schools and travel acadamies...you'll just waste your money. Each individual airline will train you once you're hired.

Flight attendants are good for single girls who want to broaden, for a brief time, their travel horizions. It's a time demanding job, so that DQ's newly marrieds and mommies--married or single, pretty much.

Normally, new hires are trained in house by the airline...where Human Resources will have you sign SCORES of legal-eze paperwork.

Best airline to work for? Hmmm.....ask those working in them for that answer.
