I believe all the prophets of the Bible to be true prophets. Whether what we have in the Bible represents their words directly is more difficult to know. It is quite clear that the Pentateuch, in the form that we now have it, was written down much after the time of Moses. The Deuteronomistic History (Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, and 1 & 2 Kings) was written down in the 6th century BC, much after the events took place. The Chronicler wrote down the books of Chronicles and also possibly Ezra and Nehemiah after the Babylonian Captivity, likely 450 BC. It is unclear exactly what materials the Deuteronomist and the Chronicler used to write their histories. Should you trust what they wrote as a true and accurate picture of what happened in ancient Israel? That's up to you to decide for yourself. Their writing is certainly based on sacred tradition, but there is inevitably editing, error, and bias that enters the picture whenever a mortal person writes such an expansive history.
It goes without saying that we have no "original" copies of what the ancient prophets wrote. All we have are copies of copies of copies that have been passed down through the ages. The process is amazing and wonderful and it is a miracle that we have preserved what we do, but all have been edited, corrected, and changed in some form or another.
Notwithstanding all this, the Bible represents the Word of God given to mankind. I think we should take notice of its limitations, which are our human limitations, but that we should take it, overall, as the best representation that we have of God's communication with Man over the centuries. Certainly a treasure to be taken seriously.

If the bible was not written by prophets of god, then why has so much of the bible stories proving to be true?
There are no false prophets in the true bible that was written in the Hebrew language, if there are any false statements in the bible then those statements were added during translation.
The book of Revelation tells us that children will be having children, there will be wars and rumors of wars, fighting between mother & daughters, father & son, the fish in the sea is being poisoned, very soon the soil of the earth will be poisoned too if that hasn't already happened, but that would be top secret wouldn't it?
maybe Lucifer, the wolf in sheep clothing is already on earth, just hasn't revealed himself yet.

Bible prophecies concerning Jesus Christ are especially remarkable. Jesus lived in the first century. Hundreds of years before his birth, numerous prophecies concerning him had been given and were preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures (commonly called the Old Testament). All these prophecies were fulfilled in the one man Jesus, many in ways completely beyond his control. He could not, for instance, have arranged the time and place of his birth, the tribe into which he would be born, or the manner of his betrayal, humiliation, torture, execution, death, and burial. (Micah 5:2; Daniel 9:25; Genesis 49:10; Zechariah 11:12; Isaiah 50:6; Psalm 22:7, 8; 34:20) The fulfillment of these and other prophecies proves that Jesus was the Savior sent by God.

Dear Brother
Let us discuss the First Question of your's; What books of Bible are truely written by prophets of God?
.
First let us agree that Apostles are desciples of Prophet of God and you cannot call an Apostle of a prophet as a Prophet of God. That answers your second question. Now coming back to the First question:
The Bible was not written by the Prophet Jesus or even written by His Apostles during his life time.It was all oral and for almost a century or more it was all songs and rhymes sung in the glory of God in Church.
In the beginning it was Judeo Christianity and James was representing this camp.which was dominant, the gospels of Mark, Mathew, Luke and John appeared in 70 A.D, while letters of Paul were written before it.
Later Pauline Christianity became dominant. Paul is considered as a traitor by the latter's family and by the Apostles who remained in Jerusalem. He had not known Jesus during his life time and he proved the legitimacy of his mission by declaring that Jesus raised from the dead, had appeared to him on the road to Damascus.
Now the New testament of Paul took over Old Testaments as many old traditions of judeo christianity are void.
I have answered your Question and let us not go into all details of it as it is too elaborate.

All the books in the Holy Bible. But not all the books in the Catholic Cannon are truly written by Prphets of God.
Each & every book in the Biblical foundation have been tested by Christians anointed with the Holy Spirit, tried & found true. The anointing we receive of God is the Spirit of Truth who leads us in the Word of God & is a teacher above our teachers. 1Jn2:27.
The definition of a true Prophet of God is one who hears personally from the LORD God. And the Old Testament writers were the Prophets of the LORD God who heard from God. And as one born of God, given the Holy Spirit, everyone born of God can pray to their heavenly Father & also hear in their new born spiritman from their Heavenly Father. So, this relationship restored is prophetic also. Not exactly the Office of Prophet though. And there are specific different prophetic gifts given to the body of Christ to different members of the body.
False Prophets deny Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. They deny the power of the Jesus shed blood on Calvery as sufficient to redeem us from our sins. They say we need to be good enouph or go by all the rules to be saved from our sins. They deny the Resurrection.

The books found in the Hebrew Tonakh are all truly written by God's prophets. Jesus is the Word of God incarnate.
John 5:39
You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.
All books found in the KJV are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Of course, if all we had was the book of John, it would be enough.
If all we had was chapter 3 of the book of John, it would be enough.
If all we had was John 3:16, it would be enough.

Note: You cannot ask a question on a public discussion board and deny access to groups of users.
While I don't believe that any of the Bible was divinely inspired, I would like to know which gospel authors actually stuck to the truth and weren't modified. I mean how the hell did they know the details of Jesus' birth?
