parasite - organism that relies on/received support from another organism (usually to the host's detriment)

There are obligate parasites and facultative parasites. The Obilgate parasite must have a host. It cannot live without one. Like a tick. Facultative can be a parasite, but can seek other means of nourishment.

Obligate parasite are those organisms wich r completely dependent on their host 4 evrything.In the absence of their host they r incapable of doing anything,
eg-virus wich is completely dependent on the host 4 its survival
