I met this guy at my recovery site and I talk with him for a good while here and there. Invited him to my house, he came over ,high of some pills. Now I have 3 years in clean time. He's nice and plus he did apolgize, but damn. I know he felt embarrass because I stop communcating with him, period . Now the hello's are back and i like that.

Absolutely, positively NO. He has already blown it, came up with some excuse and NO.
Tell him he has more excuses than a junkie, oh, he is one, that explains it.
You need to let go of the hello's, and get the hell away from him.

Of course. Second chances are generally what helps a relationship heal. If you have a second chance you know where you screwed up and generally you do everything to not make the same mistake again. Third chances should not come though!

One more chance but leave it at that if he messes up again say goodbye no more hellos or anything. You should be encouragement for him.
