I don't know and I don't care. If they like me with my tattoo they would like me without it. They don't make a girl low class or slutty or anything like that. The tattoo doesn't make her any different. I am going to become a teacher and my tattoo(s) will stay hidden if necessary. Nothing will be impossible to hide either. Well thought out tattoos are nice on anyone- male or female. People are just to damned judgemental of others instead of worrying about themselves. Oh well, my life, my body, my money! Take care and don't worry about them!

professionally done tattoos on a woman are sexy, close to the heart & at the same time expressive. i believe that they are an expression of individuality through art, just as conventional artworks are, except this time they are permanently there for your personal satisfaction. those who judge a woman on something so trivial tend to think within a box & desperately cling onto Puritannical rules that have long expired. to all tattooed woman, those who mind don't matter, & those who matter don't mind.

A tattoo is a very personal thing. They are an expression of who you are as a person. . . the problem here is you are worrying about other peoples opinions. Not everyone thinks that tattoos on a woman are bad. In my opinion, they are very sexy. A whole lot of people think they are sexy. If you are worrying about what other people think then tattoos are probably not for you.

Personally, I think it goes back to the fact that current society is kind of afraid of a woman who makes her own choices.
That fact that you have a tattoo, especially if it's a custom one, means you made a choice to be out of the box, and don't care what others think. Society (men, particularly) tend to be afraid of women like that.
They want you to care what society says, and they want to have that control over you. Since they don't, they shun you.

it seems i'm out numbered by answers here, but as a tattooed woman, i have to disagree. i have yet to meet a person who wasn't impressed with at least 1 of my tattoos (even people who don't usually like tattoos). and as for the "permanent reflection of a temporary feeling" that i saw in someone else's answer, i have to disagree. the 1st tattoo i got was when i was 19. i was very much into peace love and harmony (even in the 90s haha) and got a tattoo of the earth on my lower back. and today i am still environmentally conscious because i have a reminder of my feelings from when i was younger and more innocent. the 2nd tattoo i got is a heart with a confederate flag, which reminds me to love my country but to remember that it's had it's ups and downs, just like i have. and although not in order, i also have around my ankle, the names of my 3 amazing children (the only tattoo i have that is visible when i'm at work... because i'm PROUD to show off my babies). i also have a piece with dragonflies on my back (because i love dragonflies) that is now expanding into a memorial to my mother who loved the pond in our back yard, so i'm getting a portrait of my mothers pond on my back including my dragonflies. that way, no matter where i go, i'll always be near my mommys pond... which will make me feel closer to her. so for anyone who thinks that it's a temporary feeling, it's not. it's a permanent reminder of a very special and permanent feeling... a feeling that sometimes words aren't big enough for. a feeling that for some of us, the only way we can express it is to use the canvas of our bodies to show the world.
so don't hate on those of us who are bold enough to express our love and emotions through the art of tattoos. it's just another form of expression that can be completely beautiful and special (and as long as the tattooed takes care of herself and her tattoo it can stay that way for a long time).

Because they are close minded, ignorant, idiots.
While some women with tats might be trashy, so are some women without tats.
When I'm old and my tattoos don't look all that great anymore, I'll be able to look at them and remember exactly why I got them and tell stories about them. I really don't care about how they'll look then, I'll be old and looking like crap anyway. At least I'll be colorful.
People need to stop stereotyping women because of their tattoos, and/or the placement of their tattoos.
To SLF, I love myself and I'm not covering up my skin, I'm decorating it.

People have their opinions.....that's all there is to it. You can choose to ignore it or debate it. Personally I hate debating but sometimes I find myself doing it.
I have 3 tats soon to be more......when I have the $$$. And I love my 2 dragons I have. Blk/gry with butterfly like wings flying through the stars, one on each hip. LOVE them!

Hi
Could it be because they are? I know quite a few women, some of them relations and they all said the same at some point 'awe I don't like them now, I only had it done cause so and so did'. Why not go for professional transfers, you can change them as the mood takes.
Ray. West York's. U.K.
I rest my case, just look at precious, it look's like the wallpaper border in my mates front room Ha Ha.
