I have been dating a guy for 1 year and 3 months. I truly love him and marry him one day. His dad got a serious health problem last week and he was forced to fly home and spend time with him and his mom. The dad is supposed to have serious surgery this week. Yesterday I think he went out to dinner with his parents and his ex girlfriend that lives in his hometown. He dated her for 5 years and they have been broken up for 3 years and are "just friends". She has flown here twice (before i knew him) to visit him and the city and was staying at his house a week. First time she visited they had sex once which according to him was a misstake and just made them realize that it was wrong. Second time they did not have sex and are friends. Now he is dating me and despite that, she suggested visiting him again a month ago. He declined beacuse of a work trip. He knows I would not be ok and she will not visit. I know tough situation with dad but I think he is sending the wrong signals to everyone??

Well he was straight up with you and told you everything that has happened....
He was with her before and even though they broke up they are friends .. nothing wrong with that... He does need a friend there and she apparently knew his dad...so there is the friendship..that he may need to get through the situation .. Being strong for both mom and dad may be hard and talking to a friend is important... I am sure you talk to him a lot and give him the support that only a girlfriend can give.
It has a lot to do with how much you trust him hon... he seems to have been honest with you about their relationship, past and present...

You only think they went to dinner?? Better get the facts before you screw this thing up.
My ex and I are friends without sex. It's really a great relationship now.

If you don't know he went to dinner with his ex then you are worrying to much and that is unhealthy.
She might not be completely trustworthy, but you sound like you have some jealousy issues.

you said you think... hun dont worry yourself to much. you just think he does. releive yourself and just ask him. and if he did go out to dinner with this girl thats bull. he shouldnt be with an ex that he has been dating for 5 years. let him know how you feel
