Astonishing how few people recognize this as a humorous turn-about on the typical "Are you an atheist because you had a bad experience with Christianity?" bit.

But it's been my experience that many folks are severely humor-impaired when their own silliness is turned around on them.

LOL - no. I've never had a bad experience with atheism. Do I have to be Christian to answer this question? If I were a Christian I think I would probably say that I was a Christian because I needed something in my life to believe in and had a lot of guilt to deal with so found the Christian church a good place to go to for help with that - they do things like absolve my guilt so I don't have to deal with it anymore. It is easier than going to the people that I really should go to personally to ask for forgiveness. I'm not quite sure how that works, but it sounds good, don't you think? Yes, I realize your intent behind this question but felt like answering it anyway...anyone ever tell you that you have a good sense of humor?

BTW - I'm not an atheist. I'm not sure what I am, but no, I am not Christian because I had a bad experience with atheism.

Unfortunately No - Not myself. On the these boards last night - early this morning there was ONE! He claimed that if none of us reading his Very Long Dissertation - what it was! That we were all DAMNED! The World Would Definitely be Completely Destroyed! In 3 god years. From the answers I saw a lot of confusion, and agreeing a few of us told in our answers that we were reporting him - yes I did report him!

It was filled with Major Spelling Errors and he got mad with people mentioning the errors in their answers. He said that - They were Damned to hell!

I also told him of the Love that God has and that Jesus IS the True/Only Son of God! I suggested to him that he read the Bible and that I would be praying for him that the Lord would touch his heart that he would come to know the Lord. I also told told him the God Loved Him - God Loves Everyone!

Now, I'm not 'perfect' No One IS - The ONLY one that WAS - Jesus!!!! He Never Sinned - He was/is Completely Honest - He Never hurt Anyone - unless by what they did - they deserved it. Jesus is so AWESOME!

Be at Peace - the Grace of God Be Unto You!

Take Care and God Bless

Get real!!!! Atheism simply means a person does not believe in a God - that and absolutely nothing else - Got it yet?

So if you do not believe in the tooth fairy - does it give you a bad experience? or, Santa , the big green giant or anything else?

Yet another question designed to make non believers scoff and deride Christians.

I wonder whether you are a mischief making non-believer or a bad Christian?

Frankly, I don't see how it's possible to have a bad experience with atheism.

Of course there are many! That's why they come here to R&S, you know, and ask so many questions about atheism. They are really curious and want us to "save" them.

I am a Christian because I never found true happiness in sin.

Just empty promises.

Peace!
