i would like to have my teen assessed and not have a long wait to find out

Since they released a report that they are conducting a study on Autism and Asperger's Syndrome, earlier this year, why not call the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto to find out more. http://www.sickkids.ca/mediaroom/custom/canadianautism07.asp

Have you spoken to your child's pediatrician? I would think he or she should be able to get you a referral for an assessment of this sort.

Dear, you do not want your child labeled with such a stigmatizing diagnosis. There is no definitive test. There are criteria that a child has to meet and it can be somewhat subjective. Please do not jeopardize your child's future by letting him/her be labeled.

Asparagus is both good for you and good tasting. I would say the best thing to do would be ask them if they've eaten any, and then if they say no you could either secretly steal their feces and have it tested at a lab, or bring them into the hospital to have their stomach pumped and then you could check for yourself if they've been getting into the stuff!
