They fear hell, then they say that they believe,/like children that believes in the toothfairy, but when they grow older ,they realize there is no such thing. If the religious people could just grow up and see. There is no God out there. He is here living in us, that is why we are superior to animals, because we are God

There are loads of educated people who have set out to disprove Christianity based on historic evidence, and do you know what? They became Christians based on the evidence that they found. Examples include C.S. Lewis, Lee Strobel, and Josh McDowell. These were all men who did not want to believe, but when they sat down and empirically reviewed the evidence, they came to the conclusion that Jesus was who He said He was and that Christianity cannot be refuted. I would pose that those who do not believe do so because THEY do not want to believe. And, the logic that you speak of is flawed because it is based on the current knowledge that the world possesses. Are you so arrogant to believe that the scientific community and you as an individual have discovered all the knowledge that there is in the world? If that were the case, billions of dollars would not be spent on research each year. Remember that it wasn't so long ago that the greatest minds in the world believed that the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth. They weren't ignorant, they just relied on the information that they had at the time and came to logical, but incorrect, conclusions.

People who are nothing but religious I'm sure want to believe. Those who know their God and have made Him the center of their life know without doubt that He exist. What you call logic and reason is really doubt and denial. Try Jesus for yourself and then come back and see for yourself if he is real or not.

God has made Himself real in my life and that is why I KNOW. I also know that just because an answer may seem the most logical doesn't make it right.

We cannot apply our limited logic and reason to an intangible Being.
In saying that, once God has nudged your Spirit, and you recognize it for what it is, it's virtually impossible to ignore, because your spirit remains in tune to a whole other spiritual realm after that. God's spirit intercedes with ours (Christians).
I apply logic and reason to observable things, the same as the next person. My spirit determines spiritual things initially then I apply my logic and reason to the spiritual things.

A lot of religious people believe in science and logic, but they also believe in God and a lot of them view the bible as the absolute word of God. I guess it comes down to faith.

It's a bit of both, everyone is religious or not religious for different reasons

Either because they want to believe, depend mentally on believeing in something or feel there must be something in the unknown

Personally, the sheer ruthlessness of "God" if he/she/it exists made me stop being religious after my grandad died.

My current beliefs are that god is like a watchmaker.......made the world and left it ticking down to destruction. God is dead in my eyes which means we have no long-term future.

On the contrary, I beleive because I've done a great deal of research and found it is real. The more I learn about God the more I believe.

You HAVE to believe in God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be a christian. It is written in the bible. You also have to be saved by watery baptism by full emersion as well. Not some "sprinkling" done by the Catholic Church. (Not to offend any catholics out there - but it is stated clearly in the Bible for this. The Catachism was written by men for men, as opposed to the Bible which was written by men from God directly. )
