Our veggie guest will be well looked after and her food grilled before any meat is done, we have 2 seperate grills anyway.

Will add a couple more salads I think, just to make sure they all have enough to eat

It's nice to know some people don't throw away their money on weddings. Your BBQ menu sounds wonderful. When my brother got married they spent all of their money on the hall, the band, photographer, dress, and cake. The place they skimped was on the food. The didn't have a dinner, they had hors dourves. It was really sad...the wedding was all about show. They invited the whole congregation. If it's a small wedding and your taking care of your guests by feeding them a really great dinner... it will be a really nice wedding. Good luck.

Sounds great. A few years ago, my mother got re-married and we had a small informal wedding in the backyard. We decided to do it later on in the evening because there was no room for a sit-down meal. What we did was go to M&M's meat shop and get a bunch of appetizers, I also made a bunch of mini club sandwiches and we had 2 cakes. It worked out great.

Your menu sounds delicious.

It's your wedding day so it's up to you. Don't stress out too much. I know people who have gone to McDonalds for their wedding, or pub lunch.

The day is about the two of you committing to one another forever infront of your friends and family. While a few relatives may only come for the free food, most are there for you, and as long as you provide enough food to sustain people that should be the end of it.

Forget about everyone else and have a fantastic wedding, and live happily ever after!

This sounds perfect! I'm hungry now.
We are going to have a big bbq at our reception. I love the idea. That way, its good down home comfort food and you don't get stuck eating a bunch of weird, expensive food that nobody likes!

Sounds great. When are you sending the invitations to the Yahoo Answers contributors?!
My daughter had a Carribean-themed reception - a steel band and lots of carib-style finger food.
Nice to see something different and a real family 'do'
Have a great day. VA
P.S. Year after next is our 50th anniversary.

SOUNDS YUMMY! Real food, your guests will appreciate it! we went along the same lines minus the grilling stuff, we had the pulled pork and all the fixins catered by a local bbq place. We even had a formal wedding, but my guests LOVED it, we just presented it in a pretty way to make it formal, but it was still good ole southern bbq! I say go for it!

I think this sounds like an awesome menu for an informal wedding! I actually attended a formal wedding where they served roasted pig at the the reception and it was probably one of the most memorable receptions I've been to. You've actually given everyone quite a few options as well. Sure to please everyone! Good luck and congrats!

That sounds fabulous!

In fact, I wish I could be there to try haggis sausage. Yeah, my background is Scottish, too.

You've taken excellent care of the only vegetarian, and are offering an amazing variety. Nobody will have any excuse to walk away hungry from that table. Kudos to you!

(plots to crash reception)
